Bags of flesh on a skeleton /
Floating on a rock, time ticking with the pendulum /
Held in place with the gravity suspending 'em /
The main star central to the solar system sendin' us /
Flying in the orbit, positioned so perfectly /
Self-aware enough to understand how it works at least a little bit /
But some are blinkered to it's majesty /
So oblivious to t'dances seen, in't that a tragedy /
The universes masterpiece and we're a part of it /
The grand theatre of the stars and all that other gnarly shit /
I'm feeling grateful coz I've had chance to notice that /
Lucky me, deep space details on a photograph /
From Cassini to the Mars Rover rolling past /
Former seas or lakes carved pieces of those foreign lands /
I spose I gotta laugh coz if I din't I'd probly cry /
How we consider other humans different races, why? /
From the same planet, told you just a bag of flesh /
Skin tone evolved from different circumstances put to test /
All originate from Africa, a while ago /
Every continent with imaginary lines evolved /
To keep us all divided, split us up it's how they manage /
Behold the wealth - 1 percent, the rich controlling families /
And every country is indebted to em, yes we're losing /
It's in the trillions and yes, you guessed, it's still moving /
So many zero's even t'binary could get confusing /
And I just talk about it, yet to dream up the solution /
I spose we could begin by showing some respect for others /
Too many selfish souls in power, that's the effin trouble /
(Chorus)
We're just a bag of flesh /
And the bones attached to it /
Floating a mote of dust /
Suspended in a sunbeam /
That's what Carl Sagan said /
Well, the second part at least /
I tried to add to it /
And discuss some other things too /
(2)
I'd like to say that nothing matters much /
Only here for just a fraction of time alive and then it's back to dust /
Init funny, no, and that's the crux /
We're losing sleep over little issues taxing us /
Getting paid to check the e-post, mainly while you draft 'em up /
The never-ending stack that comes, best forget your plans for lunch /
Guess you're staying late again /
What's for tea, your favourite thing, microwave that beige, dig in /
And its' probly full of poison /
Clock the e-numbers, horse meat? you can't avoid 'em /
What d'you mean you paid for this? sometimes you wanna change the script /
It's hard when you're tired and can't be arsed to use your brain to think /
When life's an endless to-do list /
With not enough time to complete it while you live /
So what's the point to this, the mystery that I'm picking at /
Well, it's a gift you're given, just keep living, take a flipping chance /
Coz one can only hope that the good times outweigh the bad /
And while mistakes are made, the world keeps spinnin' day to day, perhaps /
The meaning's hid in how we shouldn't stay attached to things /
And have a laugh, to that I'll raise my glass and gladly drink /
(Chorus)
We're just a bag of flesh /
And the bones attached to it /
Floating a mote of dust /
Suspended in a sunbeam /
That's what Carl Sagan said /
Well, the second part at least /
I tried to add to it /
And discuss some other things too /

Easily the most interesting and lyrically impressive new hip hop record I’ve heard for years. Had me grooving, smiling, agreeing with almost every word and brought a tear to my eye. My wife loves it and she won’t usually even have hip hop on. Gets better with every listen, I’m still discovering new little pearls in it. Great set of beats on it too. Top work mate.
Got to go back to the first album and discover that now. filauge
