Whether that be grand plans for a mars trip /
Or is it learning how to grow your own food /

Tomatoes picked fresh off of the vine /
Potatoes pulled straight outta the ground /
I tend to keep my goals simple on my terms /
And just being is something I've found /

Helps settle me down, when my shoulders are rounded /
Coz the worlds on top of me still /
Daydreams got my head in the clouds /
And for a brief moment I'm forgetting any troubles at mill /

Meditative with the task at hand /
If that's not Buddhism defined, well I'll be damned /
Fully focussed and not worrying, within the moment /
And being in't present's something I'm still tryna get a hold of /

And it's easier said than done, is what they told us /
They got us wanting more, happiness in't often sold but /
All these labels draw you in, the shiny pot of gold dust /
If I do X or Y, I'll be happy then I s'pose but /

You can't quantify in those terms /
To me, a good brew and a natter holds the most worth /
It's in these moments when we're sharing what is on our minds /
We half the problem and maybe work it out this time /

To get your head around the problem, it doesn't happen often /

I can feel that knot in my stomach /

I find it difficult to argue points /
Saying something in the heat I shouldn't have, but can't avoid /

So for now it's no-mans-land, where I daren't touch it /

I guess this chapter staying unresolved /
Better that than rushing t'ending, fluff it on some Game of Thrones /
